Commercial Transactions

This course builds on the knowledge and skills introduced in Canadian Law, Contracts 1 and Contracts 2. Students review the substantive law of commercial transactions and creditors' rights. Topics include the sale of goods, consumer protection, guarantee, bailment, agency and employment law, secured transactions, bankruptcy, bulk sales and construction liens. Solving legal problems using the case method will continue at a more advanced level than in Contracts II and will often include a legal research component.
