This course will build on the skills introduced in Automated Law Office Procedures I & II, Real Estate Administration, Civil Litigation Administration and integrate them with the skills and knowledge attained in Communications I & II. Grammar and punctuation will continue to be emphasized and reviewed. Students will use the appropriate professional language, legal terminology, style and tone for written and electronic communication in the legal environment. The course is practical, hands-on, using Microsoft Word, Adobe and electronic transcription software to prepare correspondence and legal documentation. Students will also practice appropriate procedures for creating and maintaining electronic and paper records.
