This course extends students' experience with a vast array of functions as a means to prepare them for higher level mathematics including calculus. Students will investigate the properties of polynomial, rational, radical, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions, as well as combinations of these functions. Students will learn techniques to develop, and apply, mathematical models that use the properties of these functions to solve a variety of application problems.
