Statistics I

This course is designed to equip the student with a working knowledge of descriptive statistical methods. Instruction is balanced across concepts, calculations, and data interpretation. Major topics covered include frequency distributions, graphic presentation of data, measures of central tendency and dispersion, probability concepts and distributions, sampling methods, the Central Limit Theorem, and confidence intervals. Concepts and calculations are supported with the statistical capabilities of Excel.
