Students gain a focused understanding of mathematical calculations as they relate to the automotive trade. The course starts with a review of fundamental mathematics including fractions, decimals, inequalities, conversions and geometry. As different automotive systems are addressed, mathematical formulations are introduced as needed involving voltage, resistance, current, force, pressure and gear ratios, using data obtained by various measuring devices and apparatus.
