Non-Destructive Testing - Ultrasonic II

A course that expands the theory of Ultrasonic testing (UT) from NDTE 3101. It strengthens understanding of equipment calibrations, application of codes and specifications and detectability of specific flaws by UT. During the course, students acquire a working knowledge of the inspection process and expand on flaw sizing skills and common discontinuities identification. The laboratory exercises are intended to provide students with sufficient hands on time to use equipment with skill and confidence. Course content will meet or exceed the requirements of CAN/CGSB-48.9712-2014 standard for Qualification and Certification of Non-Destructive Testing Personnel for the UT Level 2.
