Network Administration I

Using Windows Server operating system software, this course focuses on the concepts, architecture and administration of a modern business server operating system. Skills learned include installing, deploying, delegation, updating and securing of a Windows Server. This also covers server administration, troubleshooting domain controllers, server core and virtualization. Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting business server operating systems as part of a computer systems network represents a good portion of a network administrator's tasks. By successfully completing this course, students will have exposure to the type of duties expected of network administrators. This course prepares students to continue their server operating system education in the NETW 5100 course in semester 4.
