This course provides basic nutrition theory with the primary focus on nutrition as a determinant of health. This course will focus on basic nutrients, their sources and contribution to the normal physiology of the body. Nutritional concepts related to sport nutrition; weight management, fad diets and eating disorders will also be covered.
