Criminal Code And Federal Statutes

This course is a continuation of PFP231 (Introduction to the Criminal Code of Canada) and is designed to encapsulate learning outcomes from various courses. The focus of learning will be on federal statutes and practices related to the interpretation of elements of weapons and drugs offences, as well as rules of evidence under the Canada Evidence Act and case law. Additionally, students will examine the Cannabis Act and provisions of other federal statutes as they relate to the Criminal Code.
