This course focuses on the law of search and seizure as a cornerstone of criminal law. Students will learn the procedures for collecting and presenting evidence in a court of law. Students acquire the skills and knowledge required to conduct a preliminary analysis of a crime scene. Students learn how to properly identify, collect, document, and preserve evidence so that it may be used as part of a police investigation and may be presented as admissible evidence in the court of law.
