Project Management

Students are introduced to the project management concepts and principles covering the entire project life cycle, from project initiation and definition, work breakdown structures, scheduling, budgeting and controlling resources, and project quality assurance. Students will acquire experience with project risk assessment, cost/benefit analysis, and techniques for delivering projects on budget and on schedule. The course emphasizes project management in software development, focusing on the complexities and uncertainties due to the need to solve novel problems using combinations of advanced technologies.
