Production Studio 1

This course prepares students for the film and television industry principally by outlining the nomenclature of film conventions and by examining appropriate convention use. This enables students to communicate intelligently about the medium and facilitates inventive use of said conventions. Through a series of assignments, students put into practice the theory introduced in class and explore their own artistic statements. They are further encouraged to assume leadership roles in developing creative and responsive ideas. A methodology of research, analysis, and communication is introduced, with emphasis on creative problem solving and visual literacy.
