Client Relations

Dealing with clients in a dental setting is often a complex process, often complicated by emotion and stress related to difficult decisions about their oral health. This course will explore the key skills needed to successfully interact professionally with a diverse range of clients in a variety of dental settings / environments. Topics will include professionalism in conversation, conflict resolution, dealing with challenging clients, and positive self-care. Real life examples will be used to highlight some of the typical situations that dental personnel may encounter and students will be encouraged to think creatively about realistic solutions to everyday client service scenarios.
