Services and Programs

Your Campus ID card allows you access to a number of on-campus services, resources and facilities including:

CAMPUS RECREATION AND WELLNESS CENTRE

As a registered full-time student, your Campus ID card is your access card for entry to the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre facilities. It is also required to reserve facilities or rent equipment.

EXAMS AND TESTS

Be prepared to bring your Campus ID card to gain access to your exams and tests.

FOOD SERVICES

Your meal plan account is activated and accessed by your Campus ID card. If you have any questions, please visit the main ARAMARK office in the Marketplace Food Court or one of the other offices located in the:

  • South Village residence dining hall
  • UB Café
  • Whitby Food Court

Flex dollar accounts are initially purchased as part of all meal plans but additional dollars can be added to your account at any ARAMARK cash register upon presentation of your Campus ID card. They can be used at a variety of campus locations.

LIBRARY

The barcode and validation date on your card verify your status for borrowing privileges.  Returning student cards must be validated before the end of September each year.

MEDIA AND PRINTING SERVICES

Your Campus ID card allows you borrowing privileges for equipment and media. You must show your card when utilizing the printing services in L120.

TUCK SHOP DISCOUNTS

Retail discounts are available on and off campus for students. Examples of these opportunities include:

  • Restaurants
  • Retail establishments
  • Theatres

STUDENT ACADEMIC LEARNING SERVICES (SALS) – SSB204

You must present your current Campus ID card at the front reception desk for scanned access to the resource centre.

Durham College STUDENTs INC. (DCSI) EVENTS AND SERVICES

Your Campus ID card will give you access to a variety of services and events supported by DCSI, including the used bookstore, event tickets, access to intramural sports, etc.

STUDENT HEALTH BENEFIT PLAN

Your card is required to verify your status as a current health benefit plan subscriber and is required for prescription and service coverage.

TRANSIT

For full-time post-secondary students, your Campus ID card also serves as your U-Pass, allowing unlimited use of any Durham Region Transit and limited GO Transit  bus routes operating within Durham Region. Additional fares are required on most routes outside of Durham Region.

The fall-winter U-Pass is valid from September 1 to May 31. Full-time registered winter semester intake students whose term extends into August will be entitled to the Summer U-Pass program between June 1 to August 31.

Full-time summer semester students should visit the ID office during the month of May with your valid ID card to receive your updated campus ID. Reprint fees will apply.
