The Access and Support Centre (ASC) advances Durham College’s commitment to inclusion in the learning environment.

The ASC’s everyday practice is guided by these principles:

We promote inclusive design and proactive consideration of diverse learners.

We develop partnerships and facilitate education to enhance academic accessibility.

Student-centred service

Students determine for themselves the extent to which they access the ASC’s resources and how they will manage their personal information.  Services are provided in a manner that respects confidentiality. Students who identify barriers to learning develop access plans with the ASC, and communicate with faculty in order to ensure access in the learning environment
