Health, Wellness and Community Service

The federal and provincial governments have made healthcare and related fields top priorities to address the shortage of nurses, early childhood educators, personal support workers, and emergency responders.

Dental hygiene, nursing, occupational and physiotherapy assistant, paramedic, and pre-service firefighter are just some of the particularly equipment-intensive programs that support our community’s well-being.

Strong enrolment means equipment needs to be replaced more frequently and rapid innovation requires a range of options from industry-standard to cutting-edge so graduates can be prepared for what they’ll find in the workplace.

Your support will allow DC to purchase equipment such as communication radios, diagnostic and life-support machines, self-contained breathing apparatus, simulation mannequins and ambulances, and many other items critical to learning and skill development.
