Do you have an idea for an urban agriculture project in our community? RBC and Durham College’s (DC)Barrett Centre of Innovation in Sustainable Urban Agriculture have teamed up for the second year to provide ten $5,000 grants to DC student-led initiatives that support any farming or food production project in an urban area.
The grants are open to all DC students who have an idea for a project that supports urban agriculture within the community and aligns with the Barrett Centre’s priorities.
Applications open online January 29 and close February 25, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
Successful applicants will be chosen in early March, and the projects can begin as soon as they’re awarded. An event this fall will celebrate the successful applicants and their work, allow them to demonstrate their project and network with other students, faculty, and industry.
