Beginning September 2, 2025, Durham Region Transit (DRT) will introduce service changes that affect riders traveling to and from Durham College’s (DC) Whitby campus.
The updated routing will allow DRT to serve both the Whitby campus and new businesses on Stellar Drive, while also providing two-way service with stops on both sides of the road — something not currently available.
Route 917 Service Update
- Route 917 will operate along Stellar Drive between Champlain Avenue and Thornton Road.
- Service will no longer enter the Whitby Campus bus loop and the #339 in the loop will be closed.
- New stops will be available on Stellar Drive, east of Champlain Avenue, near the north entrances to the Whitby campus:
- Stop 94371: Stellar Drive westbound at Champlain (Durham College Whitby Campus).
- Stop 94372: Stellar Drive eastbound at Champlain (Durham College Whitby Campus).
