Durham College’s (DC) new automated cleaning robot officially has a name!
The DC community has welcomed the GS Autonomous Scrubber50 with creativity and enthusiasm. You submitted over 400 potential names and more than 600 of you voted on six finalists, and now we’re proud to announce the winner – Lightning McClean!
This name, suggested by both Jordaine Williams (Practical Nursing) and Jordan Szyjewicz (Marketing – Business), ran away with half of the total vote!
Next time you see the robot working hard to keep our Oshawa campus sparkling, be sure to greet it by name!
