The Financial Aid and Awards office is pleased to announce the launch of the DCWorks and IWorks program for the 23-24 academic school year.
The purpose of this program is to provide students who demonstrate a financial need with useful career-related experiences that will help them to achieve their personal, financial, and academic goals.
The DCWorks program offers part-time job opportunities for full time students, and runs from September 6th, 2023 until April 19th, 2024. It is fully funded by the Financial Aid and Awards office. Students can work a maximum of 12 hours per week up to a total maximum of 140 hours per semester.
In partnership with the Durham College International Education office, we are also implementing the International Works (IWorks) program. This program allows international students enrolled in full-time course loads during the academic school year (September to April) to apply for any of the DCWorks posted positions. Students can work a maximum of 12 hours per week up to a total maximum of 140 hours per semester.
DCWorks and IWorks salaries for domestic and international students are paid 100% from the tuition set aside budget at the rate of $17.41 per hour. Forms and full details on both the DCWorks and IWorks programs can be found on MyDC under Financial Aid and Awards/Student jobs.
If you are interested in participating in the program, please complete the On Campus Employment Request for an Employee form and email the completed request by August 2, 2023 to dcstudentemployment@durhamcollege.ca.
