The student will be able to identify the history, modern elements, trends, and standards of workplace legislation in Ontario. Specific areas of study will include: Human Rights, Workplace Health and Safety, and various Labour Legislation. As part of the labour relations process, students will also look at the history of unions, working conditions, and the collective bargaining process. Ultimately, students will have a clear understand of labour processes and the legislation that is in place that exists for the interest of both workers and employers.
