This course carries on from ideas introduced in PROC 4201. Students will investigate various topics in more detail, including selected specialized control charts and process capability. Additionally more advanced topics will be addressed including Gauge Control Studies (GR&R), Acceptance Sampling and the Design of Experiments (DOE) as appropriate methodologies in certain quality control situations. Additionally, the interface between internal quality and the supplier is studied as one of the essential building blocks of the quality program. Throughout the course human factors in process improvement and quality initiatives are explored.
