How much will I receive for my entrance scholarship? When you enrol in a new program at Durham College, you will be awarded an entrance scholarship. The scholarship value will depend on the duration of your studies. One-year program - $2,000 (when you accept your offer) Two-year program - $3,000 ($2,000 when you accept your offer, $1,000 in year two) Three-year program - $3,000 ($2,000 when you accept your offer, $1,000 in year two) Bachelor program - $3,000 ($2,000 when you accept your offer, $1,000 in year two) Students applying for a Durham College Bachelor program may also be eligible for the first-year Degree Entrance Scholarship, valued at between $500 to $3000. Am I eligible? You are eligible if you are an international applicant, whether inside or outside of Canada, applying for a full-time program at Durham College and accept your offer of admission between July 14 and November 30. You also qualify if you are an international student who: Pays international tuition fees. Is currently studying in Canada and interested in completing a second program at Durham College. Is obtaining or in the process of obtaining an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Is enrolled in an eligible English pathway program in Canada. Students enrolling in full-time postsecondary programs starting in September 2025, January 2026 or May 2026 are eligible for the entrance scholarship. If you are enrolled in a second program, you will receive an entrance scholarship. Before applying for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), please ensure you are aware of the latest eligibility updates. How do I apply? You automatically qualify for the global entrance scholarship if you accept your offer of admission to a full-time program at Durham College between July 14 and November 30, 2025. Please note: You are strongly encouraged to pay your first-year tuition as soon as possible. Apply for your study permit (including extension) once you receive our Letter of Acceptance (LOA), tuition fee receipt and Provincial Attestation Letter. How do I receive the scholarship? The entrance scholarship will be credited directly to your student account when you accept your offer between July 14 and November 30, 2025. There is no cash equivalent or alternative for this scholarship. Terms and Conditions: Scholarship Eligibility Social Insurance Number: To remain eligible for your scholarship, you will be asked to input your Social Insurance Number (SIN) when you register for your second semester timetable. Program Transfer Policy: Students who transfer programs prior to completing their initial program of study will not receive an additional GES scholarship and will lose eligibility for the second installment of their scholarship (if applicable). Academic Standing Requirement: To remain eligible for the second installment of their scholarship (if applicable), students must maintain good academic standing throughout their studies. Enrollment Continuity Requirement: Students who take an unscheduled gap between semesters will not be eligible for the second installment of their scholarship (if applicable). Scholarship Stacking: The Global Entrance Scholarship may be combined with a Degree Entrance Award, subject to all applicable terms and conditions. Non-refundable: The Global Entrance Scholarship is non-refundable. If this award results in an overpayment of fees, the excess funds will be automatically applied to the fees for the next semester. What if I confirmed my offer between April 7 and July 13, 2025? If you applied to Durham College and confirmed your offer between April 7 and July 13, 2025, you are eligible for the Global Entrance Scholarship under the previous conditions listed below. Scholarship amount: One-year program - $1,500 Two-year program - $3,000 ($1,500 in year one, $1,500 in year two) Three-year program - $3,000 ($1,500 in year one, $1,500 in year two) Bachelor program - $3,000 ($1,500 in year one, $1,500 in year two). Students applying for a Durham College Bachelor program may also be eligible for the first-year Degree Entrance Scholarship, valued at between $500 to $3,000. To receive the scholarship, you will need to do the following: Confirm your offer of admission to a full-time program at Durham College as soon as possible*. If you are applying within Canada, submit a valid study permit at the time of application. Pay the minimum $2,700 tuition deposit to receive a PAL from Durham College. Pay your fees by the due date to secure your spot Complete any remaining steps to enrol at Durham College. * Refer to the Important Dates and Deadlines page for further details. Receiving the scholarship: The entrance scholarship will be credited to your student account by October 15, 2025, for those starting in September 2025, and by March 11, 2026, for those starting in January 2026. There is no cash equivalent or alternative for this scholarship. To receive the scholarship, you must provide your Social Insurance Number (SIN) to the Durham College International Education Office after arriving in Canada.
