International summer programs

International summer programs are short-term, for-credit courses in a select number of countries. These 1-3 week programs allow you to immerse yourself in a local culture while learning with classmates from around the world.


Durham College has several partnerships with institutions that offer international summer programs. Options include exploring topics such as international business and entrepreneurship, cyber security, intercultural communication and marketing.

The TU Dublin International Summer School offers an exciting and innovative course on Entrepreneurship & Business Start-up taught by expert educators and industry partners providing a rich and engaging international educational experience for students.

The Entrepreneurship & Business Start-up programme will expose you to thinking like an entrepreneur, building on your capacities to identify opportunities, assess the commercial feasibility of opportunities, develop, share and communicate ideas and increase your creative confidence. You will learn how to develop a business concept from idea through to business plan and beyond. These creative problem solving skills will be of immense benefit to those of you who wish to pursue a business idea as well as those who wish to enter the workforce equipped with all of these in-demand skills.

During your stay you will also have time to explore the vibrant Dublin City, a small Capital with a huge reputation for many things. Dublin has so much to offer, from the great outdoors and historic walking tours to its cobbled streets and classic pubs.

The Hanze Summer School courses comprise study and social activities. The courses are suitable to students from different study directions (Business, Marketing, Communication, Health, Sport Studies, Social Studies, Music, Arts, etc.). Our field trips are one of the highlights of your Summer School experience.

Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology

The Spirit of Europe Summer Course will be offered in the heart of the European Union, in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine. The course has been designed for international students who would like to gain insight in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology in Europe.

Venues during the programme are the Belgian cities of Leuven and Hasselt/Diepenbeek, and the German city of Aachen.

We will offer your students an exciting three-week program-me of lectures, workshops, and excursions and there will be many opportunities to get an impression of the cultural differences in Europe.
