Far From Home

What do you leave behind when you leave everything you know? Far From Home is an evocative exploration of the lives of three international students at Durham College as they journey across borders for education. This compelling film dives deep into the memories, traditions, people, and pets that tether them to the places they call home, even when they're far away. Far From Home was produced by second year Video Production student Ayomide Kuye.

Friendship

Friendship looks at the joys and challenges of building deep connections across cultures. This film explores the universal language of connection and the resilience it takes to build bridges between worlds. Friendship captures the spirit of navigating unfamiliar customs, breaking down stereotypes, and discovering common ground. It's a celebration of humanity, proving that even in our differences, we can find profound unity. This film was produced by Dylan Irving, a recent graduate of the Video Production program, and Andrew Neary, a recent graduate of the Journalism – Mass Media program. They traveled to Guatemala in February 2024 with the FLCA-Guatemala project.
