Faculty-led classrooms abroad

A faculty-led classroom abroad involves students travelling with a faculty member to another country. These for-credit programs are typically 10 to 12 days in length. Faculty members, in cooperation with International Education Office, customize unique learning experiences that aim to bridge the curriculum with the local culture.

Durham College has previously supported faculty-led classrooms abroad to Brazil, Peru and Ireland. Future destinations may vary from year to year depending on faculty interests.

Faculty seeking further information on how to develop their own faculty-led classroom abroad should contact educationabroad@durhamcollege.ca.
