Graduating

Coming to Durham College’s North Campus as an international student from India was a big step, and looking back, it was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I enrolled in the Video Production program because I was passionate about storytelling and visual media, and Durham gave me the opportunity to develop those interests into practical, industry-ready skills.

What I enjoyed most about the program was the hands-on learning experience. From operating professional equipment to working on creative projects, every semester challenged me to grow and become more confident in my abilities. The professors were supportive, knowledgeable, and always encouraged us to think creatively and keep improving our craft.

I graduated from the Video Production program with Honours, and the experience played an important role in shaping my career path. The technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and professional mindset I developed at Durham continue to help me every day.

Today, I work as a Resource Specialist at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). Looking back, Durham College gave me a strong foundation and the confidence to pursue opportunities in the media industry. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and grateful for the education and experiences that helped me get here.

Are you graduating? Congratulations!

When you are in your last semester, you will need to apply to graduate through MyDC. Please see here for more information.

After your semester is finished and your final marks are in the system, Enrolment Services will make sure that you have all of the courses you need to graduate. This process takes 4 – 6 weeks from the date your marks are submitted to Enrolment Services.

Once this verification is done, you will receive a Verification of Graduation Letter in your MyDC, under Student Records. If you plan to apply for a PGWP, you will need this letter to include in your application. Please read our PGWP-Handout.
