Website Builders and Frameworks

This course invites students to develop and practice the foundational knowledge and skills to create and manipulate websites using a variety of methods. Methods will include website builders and content management systems such as Wix a website builder with hundreds of templates and drag-and-drop features and Shopify, an e-commerce platform that lets you sell products online. Front-end development frameworks such as bootstrap will be used for developing responsive, mobile-first websites that leverages HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for adding interactivity and functionality to your web pages. Over the duration of the course students are challenged to create a website using a website building platform and a second website using a front-end framework.
