Prerequisites A prerequisite is a course (or other qualification) required as preparation for entry to another course. It is your responsibility to ensure that all prerequisites are met before registering for a course or workshop. If you lack appropriate prerequisites, you will be asked to withdraw or transfer to a more appropriate subject with the risk of financial penalty. If you are working towards a certificate or diploma program, you must follow all prerequisites. Options to fulfil prerequisites are: Complete the course. Complete a Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition Challenge (fees may apply) or Apply for a credit transfer. If you are taking a course for general information, and you feel that you have enough knowledge or experience to complete the course, you may register without the prerequisite. The instructor could request that you withdraw should he/she feel that your level of knowledge/skill does not meet the prerequisite requirement. Additional help during/after class will not be provided if you have not taken the prerequisite course(s).
