How to Register? Course code. Credit card information. Student Number Every student is assigned a nine digit student number. This number can be found on your registration receipt in the upper right-hand corner. This is a very important number and is unique to each student. You will need it to register online, access your grades and tax receipts, and to access your academic history. This number is your academic student number for life; please keep it in a safe place for future reference. Password (PIN) Your PIN is your MyDC password. Your original/default password is your date of birth in the format MMDDYY. (e.g. if your date of birth is December 31, 1985 the default password is 123185.) We strongly recommend you change your password. Course Code The course code is alphanumeric. For example: Accounting 1 is ACCT 1280. How to register online Step one: Find the right program Search the program options available through PPL Once you found your program download the Program of Study and follow the recommended course sequence Step two: Find your course Search course listings for course code(s) or go to the bottom of the program page to see a list of courses. Add the desired course(s) to the shopping cart. Click on the check-out Step three: Login to our system and validate your personal information New Students If you have never taken a course with PPL, you will be asked to provide your personal contact information when registering for courses. A student number will be created for you. Please retain this number, you will use it for all course registrations and college activity. Returning Students Enter your student number (100XXXXXX) and PIN. Your PIN is your MyDC password. Your original/default password is your date of birth in the format MMDDYY. (If your date of birth is December 31, 1985 the default password is 123185.) We strongly recommend you change your password. You will be shown the personal information that currently exists in our database for you. You will have to verify its accuracy and change it if needed. If you do not have your student number, click on the Personal Information Form button to complete the information. Our system will try to match the information you provide with information on file to confirm your identity and locate your student number. If the system is unable to validate your personal information, you will receive a message to call the Contact Centre at 905.721.3000 to complete your registration by telephone. If you need to reset your PIN please contact the IT Service Desk at 905.721.3333. or by visiting the Reset your MyDC PIN/Password webpage Step four: Confirm purchase and submit payment Review contents of your shopping cart to confirm its accuracy. Enter your credit card information. Submit payment (Acceptable payment options online include American Express, Visa and MasterCard. Step five: Save your receipt You will receive an email confirmation of your selected course(s) to the e-mail address you provided. Please check your spam/junk folder if it does not appear in your in-box. Telephone Please call 905.721.3000. Have your course name and code, and credit card information ready. If you are a returning student, please also have your student number. Acceptable payment options over the telephone include American Express, Visa and Mastercard. In Person To register, students will be required to provide the following items: Identification (preferably government issued). The course name and course code (e.g. Accounting 1, ACCT 1280).
