Spanish 4

This is an advanced Spanish course, as you will communicate in Spanish 60% to 75 % of the time in class. Utilizing advanced knowledge of grammar including compound tenses of verbs and advanced translation exercises, you will acquire a deeper knowledge and understanding of the Hispanic language, culture and history. Individual and group activities such as written and oral presentations, class discussions of current events and storytelling will enhance your ability to converse in Spanish using some complex grammatical structures, vocabulary and appropriate idiomatic expressions.

Notes:

Due to the pandemic, this course will not be taught in-class at the Oshawa or Whitby campuses. Instead, the instructor will deliver the course online using Zoom or another platform during the normally-scheduled class time. Assignments and tests will be posted using our Desire2Learn Learning Management System (called DC Connect). Therefore, students will need a computer with a webcam, audio and reliable high-speed Internet connectivity to participate. Due to the ongoing pandemic, we cannot predict at this time if/when we will resume in-class delivery for this course.

Students who already have the textbook from Spanish 2-3 should not purchase an additional textbook for this course.
