AI and Data Privacy

Code:
AIDI 2281

As organizations leverage digital technologies to access their markets and clients, there is an ever heightened need to protect the privacy of the data being transmitted, mined and stored for transactional purposes. This course is geared towards professionals in multiple sectors who design, deliver and support IT mechanisms to gather client data and support business activities. Based on the 7 principles established in the universally acknowledged Privacy by Design framework, students will learn techniques via which Artificial Intelligence (AI) gathers data, and how to assess these techniques for any risks to individual privacy. Importantly, students will learn techniques to deploy Privacy Impact Assessments within the context of AI applications.
