This Operating a Contracting Small Business micro-credential explores the foundational skills and knowledge to successfully operate a contracting small business. Students develop skills to manage job sites, small teams and project plans, in addition to the importance of budgeting time and money to complete high quality jobs profitably, all while adhering to industry standards.

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) including Grade 12 English (C or U) and Grade 11 Math (C, M or U) OR;
  • Grade 12 equivalency certificate achieved through College academic upgrading OR;
  • Mature Student Status (19 years of age or older) with Grade 12 English (C or U) and Grade 11 Math (C, M or U)


    Upon completion of this Micro-credential, students will be equipped to:

  • Operate a profitable and viable construction contracting small business.
