It has been stressed by employers that Mathematics has and will continue to play a major role in the development and understanding of all fields of technology. The technological and scientific advances of our time have increased the need to ensure students have a fundamental knowledge of basic mathematics. Students gain a fundamental understanding of trade-related calculations. Throughout the course, students solve problems using fractions, decimals and algebraic equations. In addition, they solve geometric calculations involving area, perimeter, volume, trade-related problems using Pythagorean Theorem and right-angled trigonometry.

Course is an approved Math course of 3 credit hours.
