Prerequisite: Current RN/RPN registration
Surgeries specific to gastrointestinal, liver, pancreas, biliary tract, breast and gynecologic/obstetric. Wound healing is also presented in this course. Discussion includes anatomy, instrumentation, patient care and positioning, special equipment required and information unique to the above surgical topics.
Students must achieve an overall final grade of 75% or higher in order to pass this course.
This course can be taken at the same time as Perioperative Nursing I (NURS 1581).
