Crisis Narrative

Code:
CMGT 1882

Own your narrative. A narrative is not just a few key messages — it is the organization’s factual story of what happened, what is happening and what will happen. It is the communications vehicle to address the crisis and mitigate and minimize misinformation. With the knowledge gained in this course, you will gain insight into crisis management through creating and controlling narrative. Discover leading communications practices that shape the crisis response narrative and the risks of not understanding an organization's narrative. Graduates of this course will understand the fundamentals of a crisis communicator’s role in creating the narrative, explore the elements needed to be an effective communicator and recognize the mechanics of a spokesperson delivering the narrative during a crisis event.
