Educational Support Placement I

Experience the role of an Educational Assistant and implement strategies to support learners. Demonstrate professionalism, ethical behaviour, positive attitudes and team-work in the school setting.

Notes:

• Under the guidance of a supervising teacher or school team, support learners effectively and demonstrate professional interactions in a Primary/Junior, Intermediate or Secondary educational division.
• The placement is actually 120 hours long and the "lecture" component is 12 hours = 132 hours.

Field Placement Instructions

Registration for this course will appear as 'closed' on our website. Permission from the placement officer is required to register for these courses. The approval is based on the successful and timely submission of all pre-placement/observation paperwork.
