Educational Support Placement III

Participate in onsite learning opportunities and experiences to become familiar with the role of an Educational Assistant in a specialized school setting. Collaborate, prepare and implement strategies to support the learner in that setting. Demonstrate initiative, professionalism and cooperative working relationships with the guidance of a supervising teacher and the school team.

Notes:

• Build on the skills demonstrated in previous field work as preparation for the EA role in your preferred school board. Assist students with three types of exceptionalities not addressed in Placement 2 in the implementation of their IEPs.
• The placement is actually 120 hours long and the "lecture" component is 12 hours = 132 hours.

Field Placement Instructions

Registration for this course will appear as 'closed' on our website. Permission from the placement officer is required to register for these courses. The approval is based on the successful and timely submission of all pre-placement/observation paperwork.
