Pattern Making: Basic Skirt and Bodice Blocks

(Formerly Sewing-Pattern Making 1) You will be introduced to the concepts and applications of flat pattern making methods. You will develop an entire set of working blocks. You will also have the opportunity to manipulate and create patterns for design features such as darts, collars, yokes and a variety of skirts. You will develop emphasis on accuracy and a solid foundation of procedures of pattern making.

Notes:

Please bring your 18" C-Thru plastic ruler, a sharp pencil, white eraser, tape measure, paper scissors and lined paper to the first class. If you have any other rulers or measuring tools please bring them. Sewing machines will not be needed. Tuition includes a $10 non-tax deductible fee. No class February 17.
