This course introduces students to the professional, ethical, and legal issues facing workers in the social service field. A process for ethical decision-making will be explored and this process will be applied to a wide variety of complex professional dilemmas. Special attention will be paid to core competencies outlined by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
This course replaces Issues & Ethics (COUN 1584).
