Program Description

Fundamentals of Leadership integrates contemporary management concepts, skills and tools that managers need to be successful leaders. The program equips managers with effective tools to bring out the best in their teams so they can achieve (and even exceed) their organizations’ objectives. The program reinforces learning through self-assessments, case studies, group work, peer-to-peer feedback, online assessments and personal action plans. Delivered in an online format, this program is a progressive learning path and consists of three courses, which are to be taken in order for participants to benefit fully from the program.

Apart from the first course, each course has a prerequisite, the preceding course(s) or equivalent training is required before registering;

  • SAPS 1980 - Effective Interpersonal & Organizational Communication
  • BUSL 1980 - Leadership Skills (Prerequisite: SAPS 1980)
  • LEAD 1980 - Building a Performance Culture (Prerequisite: BUSL 1980)

Courses are delivered virtually through an interactive online platform in conjunction with Algonquin College. You require access to a computer with high-speed internet and camera for the duration of each class. Students will receive a certificate directly from Algonquin College upon successful completion of the program.
