Program Description

The knowledge gained in this program along with previous experience in computers, networking, and security will prepare you for many entry-level roles in Cybersecurity. Many career opportunities exist in the constantly evolving Cybersecurity field. Upon completion of these courses, and potentially additional studies (based on your previous experience). Will prepare you to challenge cybersecurity certification exams like SSCP and CISSP to enhance your career prospects.

These courses provide an understanding of cybersecurity concepts and practical considerations when working as cybersecurity professionals. They will provide a strong foundation and enable you to dig deeper into mainstream fields within security and risk management practices.

Note: Courses are delivered virtually through an interactive online platform in conjunction with Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. You require access to a computer with high-speed internet and camera for the duration of each class.

A digital pin of completion will be awarded upon successfully finishing this program. After successful completion of all courses in the Program of Study you must notify us via email at pplbadges@durhamcollege.ca Once verified, a digital pin will be issued to you.

Certificate Requirements

Students should have related work experience in:

  • Entry-level networking
  • Entry-level network administration
  • Client/ Server experience

Students who do not meet the work experience requirements should complete NETW 1182 - Network+.
