Pre-requisite: Current R.N. registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario This course will introduce you to the practice of occupational health nursing as well as the ethical, professional and legal issues and guidelines which form the bias of occupational health nursing practice. Students will acquire basic skills in the identification of health and safety hazards in the workplace as well as activities which promote employee health and safety.
Students will need to contact our IT dept (905-721-3333) after they've registered for this course to request access for a NETWORK PASSWORD to be able to access the ELECTRONIC JOURNALS at the DC-UOIT library. Students will require their student number for this to be completed.
