Change Management Foundation Certification

Learn the professional knowledge expected of an effective change manager.

During this course you will examine a variety of change management techniques and change management models commonly used within organizations. A structured approach to change helps you to better deal with change as an individual, as a member of a team or organization, and as a leader. The Foundation course explores the impact that change has on four areas: Change and the Individual; Change and the Organization; Communications and Stakeholder Engagement; and Change Management Practice.

This course also prepares the participant for the APMG Change Management™ Foundation exam. The course textbook and readings will be provided prior to the course so that the participant may begin studying in advance of the course and the Foundation Certification exam. In addition, daily homework, practice exams will be provided.

  • This course is delivered virtually through an interactive online platform in conjunction with Algonquin College. You require access to a computer with high-speed internet and camera for the duration of each class. By enrolling in this course, you consent to the sharing of your personal information with Algonquin College for registration purposes.
  • Withdrawals are only accepted up to 10 business days prior to the course start date (withdrawal fees will apply). No refunds or withdrawals are permitted after this date.
  • Registration for this course will close 2 weeks before the course scheduled start date.
  • Exam(s) are taken online after the course is completed. You will be provided guidance and authorization to arrange an exam at a time that fits your schedule.

    Pre-course Requirements

    Participants will complete reading “The Changer Manager's Handbook” prior to attending class. The book is part of the course package and will be sent to participants upon enrolment. Two hours of study per evening should be expected throughout the course.
