Emotional health and social connectedness are significant tenets of human development. This course explores the concepts of wellness and well-being for both the educator and the child in the early learning and care environment, with a focus on promoting the personal development of the educator as well as examining their professional practice. Students will explore the impact of their emerging professional identity as they recognize the need to balance multiple roles within the educational environment. By applying a relationship-based approach, students will unpack various strategies and techniques for managing stress and fostering healthy social and emotional development.
