Issues & Ethics in Mental Health Nursing

This course will explore legal and ethical issues related to psychiatric/mental health nursing in a variety of practice settings. Focus will be on Mental Health law, patients' rights, advocacy, ethical principles and dilemmas, and systematic processes for ethical decision-making. The student who takes this course will be prepared to apply theory using various methods and case studies related to ethics and legalities.
