Prevention & Identification of Child Abuse

In this course, students examine the types of child abuse and factors associated with the causes of abuse. Students will identify their personal responses to child abuse and intimate partner abuse. They will be able to adhere to legislative requirements for documenting and reporting indicators of child abuse. Students will be able to describe the educator's role in the prevention, identification, and treatment of child abuse and intimate partner violence.
