This capstone course provides the student with an opportunity to apply and synthesize mental health nursing principles, theories and interventions studied in the theory courses. Upon completion, the student will be prepared to assess, provide and evaluate interventions for, and advocate for mental health clients in a variety of institutional and community settings.
Note that this course is application-focused, is assignment/project-based, and is very self-directed (with facilitator support). Calls with the facilitator will be required twice over the course of the term.
Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario is required.
