Perinatal 5- Practicum

This clinical practicum is designed to provide you with opportunity to incorporate theory and clinical practice in traditional obstetrical or perinatal settings including the role of the nurse in caesarean section and recovery room settings. Please note proof of Fetal Heart Surveillance (FHS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certificates are also required for clearance for practicum.

Please contact the Centre for Professional and Part-time Learning Placement Officer at pplplacements@durhamcollege.ca at least two terms (6-8 months) in advance of the term you are hoping to complete the placement for this program.
