Stress, Wellness & Nutrition

Code:
HLTH 1387

Stress can play a significant role in people's professional lives. Learning how to deal with stress is vital to long term health. While stress alone does not cause disease, it triggers molecular changes throughout the body that make people more susceptible to many illnesses. In this course, students will gain an understanding of the importance of how to deal with both positive and negative stress in their lives. By using wellness perspectives, each student will gain more insight into how they can control both internal and external stressors.

Notes:

This course is NOT a recognized GNED for the PRACTICAL NURSING or FITNESS & HEALTH PROMOTION programs offered through the Faculty of Health Sciences.
